Choosing a Christmas gift well comes down to five checks: the right size or fit, compatibility with what the person already owns, age and safety marking for children, a delivery window you can actually meet, and a return route that still works in January. Get those right and the gift itself is the easy part.

Why the return is the real test of a gift
A gift is not judged on 25 December. It is judged in the second week of January, when the recipient works out whether they will ever use it. If the answer is no, someone now has to find the order number, check whether the withdrawal period is still open, and queue at a parcel point.
That is the moment a present becomes admin. And it is almost always predictable at the moment of purchase — not by intuition, but by five attributes that are printed on the product page.
The five checks before you pay
| Check | Why it matters | Where to verify it |
|---|---|---|
| Size and fit | Clothing, shoes and furniture are the most returned categories | Size chart or dimensions table on the product page |
| Compatibility | A cable that fits nothing is not a gift | Specifications: connector, voltage, plug type, model compatibility |
| Age and safety | Toys carry age ranges and warnings for a reason | Age marking, CE label and safety notes |
| Delivery window | A gift that arrives on 4 January is a late gift | Delivery time for the destination country |
| Return route | Decides whether a mistake is fixable | Returns policy and the 14-day withdrawal period |
1. Size and fit
Buy clothing and footwear only when you know the size, or when exchanging is straightforward. For furniture, read the dimensions, not the photograph: a side table that looks generous in a lifestyle shot can be 35 cm wide. Check whether assembly is required and whether the tools are included.
2. Compatibility
This is where cross-border gifts go wrong. The EU runs on 230 V with type C and F sockets; the UK uses type G. A small appliance bought in one market and sent to the other needs either the right plug or an adapter you remember to include. The same applies to phone cases, watch straps, replacement filters and ink cartridges — all cheap, all useless when they are the wrong variant.
3. Age and safety
Toys are labelled by age for developmental and safety reasons, not marketing. A set marked for 8+ usually contains small parts. If you are buying for a child whose exact age you are not certain of, choose the lower age band. For anything electrical, the CE marking indicates the product meets EU requirements for its category.
4. Delivery window
See the next section — this is the check people skip and then regret.
5. Return route
Under EU consumer law you have 14 calendar days from delivery to withdraw from most online purchases, without giving a reason. Two exclusions catch gift buyers: personalised items, and hygiene-sealed products once opened. If you are buying something intimate or customised, assume it is final sale and choose accordingly.
Planning delivery backwards
Work from the date you need the parcel in hand, not from today's date. The sequence:
- Fix the date. The day you will actually hand the gift over, not 24 December by default.
- Subtract the delivery time for the destination country.
- Subtract the dispatch time. Orders leave the warehouse in 1 to 3 business days, and some items sourced from the manufacturer need up to 5.
- Subtract a buffer of two to three working days for the pre-Christmas peak. Carriers do not lose parcels in December so much as slow down.
Applied to the delivery times published in our shipping policy, counting back from 23 December:
| Destination zone | Transit time | Recommended last order date |
|---|---|---|
| Spain and Portugal | 1–3 business days | 15 December |
| Zone 1 — Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden | 3–5 business days | 11 December |
| Zone 2 — Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia | 4–7 business days | 9 December |
| United Kingdom | 4–7 business days | 9 December |
| Norway and Switzerland | 5–8 business days | 8 December |
Two practical consequences. First, anything shipped cross-border should be ordered earlier than the domestic equivalent. Second, the last week before Christmas is the wrong week to buy a gift that needs to be the right size.
A budget structure that avoids filler
Most people overspend on Christmas by buying three mediocre things instead of one good one. A three-tier structure fixes it.
| Tier | Who it covers | What the money should buy |
|---|---|---|
| One main gift | Partner or closest family | Something they asked for, or something that replaces a worn-out object they use daily |
| Two or three considered gifts | Parents, siblings, close friends | Consumables they will finish, or an upgrade to something already in use |
| One flat amount | Colleagues, neighbours, teachers | Small, universally useful, no size or compatibility risk |
If you already know the number, browse by category rather than scrolling the whole catalogue: Christmas collection.
Secret Santa and group gifts
Group gifts fail for one reason: the budget is agreed but the interpretation of it is not. Fix the rules in writing before anyone shops — total spend including shipping, whether handmade counts, and whether the gift must be usable by anyone in the group.
- Choose items with no size and no compatibility risk: games, home textiles, kitchen accessories, desk objects.
- Avoid anything that needs a battery, a charger or an app.
- One flat budget, applied to everyone. It removes the awkwardness of the person who spent double.
Gifts that travel badly across borders
If the parcel crosses a border — which is normal when you shop a pan-European store — five categories cause avoidable problems:
- Electricals. Plug type and voltage. EU type C/F at 230 V, UK type G.
- Liquids. Perfume and alcohol carry carrier restrictions and can be refused at a parcel point.
- Fragile items. Ceramics and glass need proper packing.
- Battery-powered toys. Batteries are often not included, and a toy that does not switch on is a bad first impression.
- Oversized furniture. Delivery may be kerbside only, and returns become a logistics project.
Deliveries to the UK, Norway and Switzerland can also be subject to import duty and VAT charged by the destination customs authority, payable by the recipient.
FAQ
When is the last day to order for Christmas delivery?
It depends on the delivery zone, not on the country you are browsing from. Spain and Portugal: 15 December. Zone 1: 11 December. Zone 2 and the UK: 9 December. Norway and Switzerland: 8 December. Those dates already allow for 1–3 business days of dispatch and a buffer for the peak week.
Is it better to buy one expensive gift or several cheap ones?
One gift that gets used beats three that get stored. If the budget is limited, buy one item from a category the person already buys for themselves.
What can't be returned at Christmas?
Personalised items and hygiene-sealed products once opened are outside the standard withdrawal right. Everything else is covered for 14 calendar days from delivery. You pay the return shipping unless the item arrived damaged, faulty or was not what you ordered.
Do gifts bought in one EU country work in another?
Usually yes for voltage — the EU is 230 V throughout — but the plug type differs between the EU and the UK, and instructions may only be in the language of the country of sale.
How do I track a gift I sent to someone else?
A tracking link is emailed as soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier. If it has not arrived three business days after the order, contact us and we will locate it.
The gift is the easy part
Right size, right fit, right plug, right date, reversible if wrong. Do those five and you can stop optimising and start wrapping. Start here: Christmas gifts, or browse toys and puzzles for the younger end of the list.
What we do not sell, and why
We do not invent specifications or stock counts, and we do not list a product we cannot ship this week.
Delivery, returns and warranty
Orders leave our EU warehouse and arrive in 3 to 7 business days. Shipping is calculated at checkout by weight and destination — we do not offer free shipping, and the cost is shown before you pay.
You have 14 days from delivery to return an item under EU distance-selling rules, provided it comes back in the condition it arrived with its accessories. Every item carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, handled by us rather than by the manufacturer, so there is one contact throughout.
The units we have today
Every row below is a unit physically in stock. VAT is included; delivery is charged separately at checkout.

What our inspection actually covers
“Tested” means nothing without a checklist, so here is ours.
Each unit is powered on, driven through the functions the listing claims, checked for cracks and dead pixels beyond the declared grade, confirmed complete with its accessories, and matched to its serial number.
What we cannot tell you: how it will behave in two years, or how it will sound, feel or fit for you specifically. Those are the reasons the return window exists.
The limits of this page
Any shop can list virtues. Here are the constraints.
We do not invent specifications. If a number is missing, it is because we could not verify it, not because it was inconvenient.
We also do not promise to be cheapest on every line. Our claim is narrower and checkable: real stock, an inspected unit, and a price that does not move at checkout.

FAQ
Is the stock figure on this page real?
Yes, it is read from the live catalogue. Sold-out units change or disappear.
What is the spread between the cheapest and the most expensive option here?
The range runs from €24.99 to €35.99, a difference of €11.00. That gap buys specification, not brand prestige.
How many units are available across all models?
4 models are listed, with a combined 100 units in stock. The thinnest line is Blíster 2 Figuras Pop Oasis Liam & Noel Gallagher at 25 units.
Can I return an item if it does not suit me?
Yes, within 14 calendar days of delivery, complete and resaleable. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item was faulty.
Do you ship outside the EU?
We ship to the UK, Norway and Switzerland at a higher flat rate. We do not ship to Malta or Cyprus.
